Do aliens have faces?
If not, how will we know how they feel?
A smile. A frown.
An eyebrow raised.
This human mask.
Concealing. Revealing.
Deciphering. Deceiving.
Without our faces
who are we?
The young girl hides her face.
The masked man hides in the undergrowth.
And I, I hide even from myself.
Our faces the masking tape,
holding our lives together.
